Wax Dip Pool for Duck and Goose Defeathering

The Wax Dip Pool is a specialized defeathering system used in duck and goose processing, where feathers are generally more difficult to remove compared to broilers. As an additional process following mechanical plucking, wax dipping plays a critical role in achieving clean carcass appearance and high defeathering efficiency for waterfowl.

During operation, poultry carcasses are immersed in melted food-grade wax, allowing the wax to penetrate and encapsulate the remaining fine feathers. After dipping, the wax is allowed to cool and harden, forming a solid layer that can be peeled away together with the attached feathers. This process ensures effective removal of stubborn feathers from the skin surface without causing damage to the carcass.

The wax is then reheated and filtered, separating feathers and impurities so that the wax can be reused continuously, reducing material consumption and operating costs. With its reliable process performance and repeatable wax recycling system, the wax dip pool is widely applied in duck and goose processing plants and is an essential solution for achieving high-quality defeathering results in waterfowl slaughtering operations.
